On Thursday, February 3, 2022, a group of Zakho University representatives led by the university president Dr. Nadhim S. Jakhsi formally received the academic council of Northern Technical University chaired by Dr. Alyaa A. AL-Attar. Consequently, a memorandum of understanding was signed by the University of Zakho and Northern Technical University.

The agreement terms include facilitating the collaboration of academic staff for participating in joint research projects, facilitating the mobility of students for scientific purposes, participating in academic seminars and meetings, and exchanging programs. Indeed, every mentioned term within the agreement is going to be implemented in the wake of thorough discussions between the two universities.

The MOU consists of eleven (11) terms, significant ones are as follow:

1- Utilizing the scientific labs of both universities.

2- Participating in the discussions of M.A. and PhD.

3- Conducting scientific activities for students.

4- Publishing joint scientific researches in international journals.

5- Exchanging the academic staff for the purpose of benefiting from the scientific capabilities of both universities.

6- Exchanging electronic programs.

7- Availing from the administrative experts of both universities.

Noteworthy, the memorandum of understanding is long-lasting. Moreover, any alteration or correction of the terms is going to occur through discussion and contentment of both sides.
